Workshop III: Vendor Workshop

The workshop took place in Brussels on 4th December 2014.

Scope and objectives of the workshop:

  • The DISCERN project has developed a set of tools aiming to facilitate design and specification of smartgrids functionalities.
  • The tools are based upon the CEN/CENELEC/ETSI Smartgrids Reference Architecture and Sustainable processes developed in response to Mandate 490 from the EC.
  • The tools have been used to document Use cases and System architectures of the smartgrids functions developed by the DSOs both those developed within DISCERN (Learning use cases) and those developed prior to DISCERN (Leading Use cases).

The goal of the Vendor workshop is to investigate if these tools add value in the communication between DSO and systems vendors when procuring systems.
